Arabic Studies

Instruction in the Arabic Language starts in the Petite Section and continues on through High School.

The mission of the Arabic Language Program, is to empower IQRABA students with adequate Arabic language skills to enable them to read and comprehend the Qur’an. IQRABA believes that in promoting the four language skills (listening comprehension, speaking, reading and writing), the students will be able to understand Islam from its authentic sources and interact actively with Arabic as a living language.

 To achieve its mission, the Arabic Language Program, combines the Arabic textbooks in the curriculum with supplementary audiovisual material and extra-curricular activities that enhances the child’s proficiency in the four language skills. This is carried out through various games, role-playing, singing and other activities during the language class.



Why learn Arabic?

All Praises are Allah’s, who has honored us with the Qur’an, and chosen for us the noblest of languages, The Arabic language. It is part of Islam, and knowing Arabic is an obligatory duty. If it is a duty to understand the Qur’an and Sunnah, and they cannot be understood without knowing Arabic. According to a hadith narrated from Umar (RA), he said; “Learn Arabic for it is part of your Religion,
