Assessment at IQRABA
At IQRA Bilingual Academy, we’re committed to transforming the learners of today into the leaders of tomorrow.
One of the ways we help all students be successful is by always improving the way we assess and evaluate what students learn. We also want to improve how we report back to you about how your child is doing at school.
This guide will help you understand the many different facets of IQRA Bilingual Academy’s assessment policy.

Measures of Academic Progress
(MAP) ®, created by Northwest Evaluation is a computer adaptive test, which means every student gets a unique set of test questions based on responses to previous questions.
MAP results are provided as a numerical RIT score. This score is used to measure a student’s achievement level at
different times of the school year and compute growth.

Quran and Islamic Studies Department
The Islamic Studies Standardized Test Series was developed by knowledgeable Islamic educators within the Islamic School System working in cooperation with Riverside Publishing Company, creators of the Iowa Tests of Basic Skills. The tests are designed to be similar to the tests administered in public and other private schools across the U.S.
Based on extensive educational research, the developers of this program anticipate that the use of these standardized tests will be invaluable in measuring student achievement in four critical content areas:
(1) Qur’anic Studies,
(2) Sirah and Hadith,
(3) Aquidah, Fiqh, and Akhlaq,
(4) Islamic Social Studies.
